Just a couple of things to mention. I finally found out what we will be having on tap, and I also have a list of what will be available in bottles. Well, not the whole list. Scott has promised a couple of surprises!

This Saturday, March 20th, from 2-6PM, Scott Vaccaro of Captain Lawrence Brewing fame, will bring his great beers and himself here to visit us at Bellport Beer!
Scott will be pouring samples, talking about beer, and just hanging out with us for the afternoon. He will bringing some of his rare/ special release/ sold out beers with him as a bonus, and I will be breaking out my stash. They will be for sale, some straight sale, some will be raffled for sale. (Free raffle for opportunity to purchase), and some will just be raffled for free. More details to follow.....
We will have some stuff on tap and at least 5 different beers in bottles.
For the event, I will also be raffling off two tickets (one per winner) for the upcoming Spring Craft Beer Festival on March 27th.
Make sure to come on down, introduce yourself to Scott, try some great beer, and maybe enter a raffle or two.

Southampton Tasting Update

Just a quick added note on the tasting.
Spencer called to say he is bringing a special keg for tasting and growler fills. What is it? Spence said " you have to come down to find out"!
So make the trip!

I will not be making the rarities available for sale until 3:00, so anyone traveling will have time to get here. 2 weeks ago, people came from Nassau, Queens, and even NYC, and were happy to get their hands on some tough to find bottles of Sah'Tea and Theobroma!

is a coppery and heavily hopped India Pale Ale. Named after brewmaster Keegan's grandmother whose driving earned her quite a reputation with local police racing her six children to and from a local Long Island beach ferry during the 1960's, Hurricane Kitty is the undisputed family favorite. We try to make the hop bill read as aggressively as her driver's record

We have the full line up of Keegan Beers for tasting. On tap will be Super Kitty, Mothers Milk, and Joe Mamma's Milk stout!
Come on down, taste some great beer, hang out with some great people, and grab some munchies as I will have the grill fired up for the event!

The Dogfish Head Tasting...Wow!!

Wow! What a great day! 15 minutes after the tasting started, the store was packed and the parking lot was overflowing with cars! People had to park on Station Road! The gathering grew as beer enthusiasts from NYC, Queens, Nassau, and even Massachusetts showed up for this special event!
Thank you to everyone who turned out and supported a great brewery and a great event! Elizabeth did her usual great job, and seemed to impress everyone who spent time talking to her or just listening in. It's always a pleasure, and an honor to have someone that I consider to be a great beer rep and beer person. She certainly knows her stuff!
   While Elizabeth was pouring samples, entertaining our guest with her knowledge of beer, and her unique style of doing a tasting, I was outside working the grill, trying out a new wing recipe, and a new blend of sauces for the dogs & kielbasa. If I must say so myself.... The wings came out awesome!! The sauce came out better than expected as well.
   Aside from the great varieties of DFH that I had on hand, Elizabeth was good enough to bring a bottle of Life & Limb and a bottle of Squall for us to taste! A nice surprise for those of us who were lucky enough to try it!
  I had a great time watching all of you have a great time! It also is nice to see and hear that my efforts are appreciated. It's also nice to see everyone enjoying the BBQ that I cook up!
We poured tons of 64oz. and 750ml growlers all day long as we had World Wide Stout, Midas Touch, Red & White, and Palo Santo Marron on tap for growler fills. One nut even took a 64oz of World Wide Stout! That's like a case of beer worth of alcohol content! His picture will be up on the site soon.

The Dogfish Head Tasting Is Finally Happening!!!!!!

Well, we are finally going to have that big Dogfish Head Tasting that was postponed by the 2 foot snowstorm on December 19th.
Elizabeth will be here from this coming Saturday Feb. 20th from 1-5PM pouring samples for us, and talking about beer. She is an awesome beer person to talk to! She has both the knowledge and the passion for great beer that we so appreciate here.
I will update the beer list for the tasting as soon as I see what I still have available.

Super Super Bowl Sunday Growler Special!!!

Okay. It's the Super Bowl, you go to a party, there's Bud, Miller, Coors, Corona, and Heineken there. Yawn...... But you show up with a growler of something different. Now it's a party! Hey, whatcha got there? Wow, what is this stuff?
Sounds a lot more interesting now.
Well, to make it easier, just for today, Super Bowl Sunday, and only for my blog readers, all growler refills will be 20% off!! (except the already "stupid cheap" cheap growler of the week) So since we already have the lowest growler fill prices on L.I. it's a total no brain-er to grab a handful of growlers and head over before the game! Also, if you don't have a growler, our $2.00 growler price is also the cheapest on L.I. (actually in the state!)
So check the tap list, and get down here before 6:00!

I have also received a few calls and emails with start with "do you still have" When it comes to the growler station, unlike most places, I get 1/2 kegs, not 1/6 kegs. So don't just figure if it's been on tap a week you have missed it, just check the website, or give us a call. There is the occasional keg that goes in 5-10 days, but for the most part, they usually last about 3 weeks. Especially during the times that we have 13 beers running!
