"STUNG" Again! At DEKS & At The Good Life!

Last night was the final "Tapping of the kegs" night in regards to Sierra Nevada "Stung", the beer camp beer that I helped create & brew when I was invited to Sierra Nevada brewery in Chico, CA.
The night started at DEKS American Restaurant in Rocky Point, http://www.deksrestaurant.com/ where Rich and I joined a small group of beer enthusiasts, including some of our own members of the LIBME http://malt.donavanhall.net/ http://groups.google.com/group/beermalt

After a pint or 2 and some fun & conversation, we were off to the Good Life in Massapequa to tap the last public Keg! Rich & I arrived to a nice gathering again! The crowd was peppered with members of both the LIBME and B.E.E.R.http://beerhbc.org/

After a really nice welcome, (I mean it, it was really nice!) Pete, the owner of The Good Life

When he came back he invited me to pour the first pint, and the gang helped me out with what to do with that first pint. Drink it myself? No! Let's auction it off for charity! The bidding started at $20.00 and finished up at $80.00!!! Awesome! Thank you to Josh Hawkins for his generous bid, and thank you to Pete from the Good Life who matched it!! An additional $20 was thrown into the pot by Matt B. This is why I love these guys!
The rest of the night was spent having fun, talking, drinking Stung, and eating some of the great food they have there! You could make a meal out of some of the outstanding appetizers that they serve! Awesome!

Thanks to all of my friends who came to these events! a special thanks to Matt & Matt, who traveled from Mastic Beach & Rocky Point. No short trip! It was much appreciated! It was a special night!
