The last beer yard sale was a mild success, as the weather was not our friend that day. Even though it was not what I expected, it was good enough for the purpose of charity. For Thanksgiving, with the aid of a heavily discounted purchase at one of our local stores, I was able to deliver 6 turkeys, 6 boxes of stuffing, 6 cans of cranberry sauce, 2 large cans of baby formula, and 1 box of diapers to a local food pantry to be given out the night before Thanksgiving. Hopefully we helped to make a few dinner tables and a bunch of bellies full!
  I'd like to do the same for somebodies Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.
I am going to try to figure out a date between now and the 21st to do it again, so please keep an eye on the blog for that announcement!

Also, in the spirit of giving, please see what kind of baby stuff that you might have, that you no longer need. I am trying to help out 2 young (too young) couples who are expecting babies in the next 4 months. I have some stuff for them, but I still have 2 little kids and I already gave away a lot of stuff, so I don’t have everything. If you are done having kids, and have baby stuff that is collecting dust, bring it by. I helped them find a place to live, and now I want to help them fill it up! they really are nice kids, and are trying to do the best with what they have.
   Let's try to give them and their kids a great start!
