The Bellport Rotary / Bellport Beer Charity Beer Tasting

It's been a week since we all got together for the charity event. Thank you to all of you who sent pictures!
What a great event! Everyone seemed to be having a great time, enjoying the Beer, the food, and the people. All of you who volunteered were early, or on time, which made everything flow a bit smoother. I want to say thank you for that.
Big thanks to the Bellport Country Club for giving us a deal on the room, and for their food contribution and hospitality!
Thank you to all of the restaurants for their generous & delicious food choices, and thanks to Rich, for running around last minute writing up the food & beer pairings! The night was a great success, and that is due to all of the hard work of all involved! Thank you, thank you!
We did some raffles, and they raised more than twice as much as last years raffles did! We had some great prizes donated by Sam Adams, Smirnoff Ice, Susann Gude of http://www.gudephotography.com/, and myself. I had fun being the emcee & calling out the winners names. Next year, I hope to have more!
There were so many cool moments & highlights from the night that I don't want to pick a favorite. I have to say this though. I was thrilled with the response to all of our local breweries! I put all of them on key spots, and they received the attention that I had hoped for. Some of the beers have already been rated on www.beeradvocate.com and www.ratebeer.com . That should help up their profiles!
The volunteer pourer's for the night were a collection of friends, both old & new from our many Long Island beer groups. Please visit their sites, and join up. There is always something going on, and these are the places to find out about it all.

And this is a special thank you to the folks who volunteered, or could not attend, but paid for a ticket anyway as a donation. That was a really nice gesture!
