Thank You

I would like to take a moment to thank all of you who showed concern, and offered well wishes for me during this ridiculously long infection & tooth issue. Emails, blog entries, comments in our group message boards, wow! I have been really touched by the concern.
I finally got the infection enough under control that I was able to have the tooth pulled on Wednesday. I am feeling surprisingly well, and have little to no pain. For the first time in over a month I have gone 2 days straight without a headache. What a relief! I have also slept through the night for the first time in weeks!
I will be done with the last batch of antibiotics in about 10 days. I will finally be able to try some of the beers that have been stacking up for sampling. I took a day off from the meds last Friday to sample some goodies, but I am way behind!
I am thinking of cracking some rarities, homebrews, and unavailable-in-NY goodies to celebrate. For those of you who know what I am talking about, email me about a date & time. For those who don't, email me & I'll clue you in!
So, thank you, my friends, for your thoughts, concern, and most of all you friendship. It is truly appreciated, and remains the reason I do what I do, and enjoy it so much.

Good to hear you are recovering. I had mine pulled 2 weeks ago, it fianlly cracked and got infected. the dentist had the da get a bigger set of pliers and the da held my shoulders down while the Dentist pulled the damn thing out.

Novocaine and all, that sumb*tch hurt.

If you are a movie buff, you like this...The Dentist asked me how I felt and I said "It's safe, very safe." His reaction was like "Gee..I haven't heard that a million times before."

The damn tooth was huge! Wanted to take it home and show the kids, but I was told it was medical waste and had to be disposed of.

Thery gave me antibiotics and told me to take aspirin for pain. Yeah, right...I went into my reserve of Vicodin.

Thanks Mike. I feel your pain.
I am not a movie buff, in fact I find it hard to sit still through almost any movie. Not because of the movie, but because I have issues with sitting still. Ever notice a chair behind my counter? No. That's simply because I have to keep moving. Think of any time you have seen me at a festival, bar, or anywhere for that matter. I almost never sit down.... Hyperactive.
So Help me out with the movie reference. Even if I saw the movie, I probably wouldn't remember the line.....Senile.
I can't believe that they would not let you take the tooth home. They gave me mine in a clear medical waste bag, kind of cool. The kids were very interested in it.
As for the pain meds, I stopped taking them after 36 hours. The antibiotics are playing evil games with my stomach though.
9 more days until I can safely drink beer again.................................................................

that is a recurring line from Marathon Man with Dustin Hoffman and Laurence Olivier as a former Nazi Dentist. Great flick with double and triple crosses.

One night when it's on USA, I will TIVO it so I can zip through it. I'm pretty sure I saw that when it was new (the late 70's?)
