For Those of you with Little ones
No, I am not talking about 7oz. beers!
Just a note at holiday time to all the parents of little ones.
There are a ton of CD's of children's music out there, most of them unbearable to listen to for more than 10 minutes. I have been a fan of TMBG - They Might Be Giants, since the early 90's. A couple of years ago they came out with "Here Come The ABC's". I had it in a drawer for years until I had my first child, Adam. I started playing it for him & he loved it. The little guy, Joshua loves it as well.
My music tastes vary more than most, but I do highly recommend it, as it is both catchy, and easy to sing along with. Except maybe "Alphabet of Nations" but then again, I have a terrible memory.
The lyrics & lessons are probably good until they are 6 or so, as they use some excellent word & letter tricks to help kids learn.
Well, enough of that. Just a suggestion to give you a break from the mindless, repetitive blather that most of these CD's have.
If you pick it up, let me know what you think. I can handle the criticism, as well as the attaboys..
Have a Great Christmas!
